The Apeks XL4+ has now been combined with the XL4+ Octopus to create a great regulator set. The XL4+ Octopus has the same features as the XL4+ second stage, with a comfobite and venturi switch.

1st stage

• Compact milled first stage based on the expedition-tested Apeks DS4 platform.
• Groundbreaking, innovative over-molded first stage end cap and ambient diaphragm help prevent ice formation that can cause free-flow of the first stage in extreme conditions. Also protects the first stage from impact damage.
• The large surface area heat exchanger diaphragm clamp helps increase the gas temperature in the first stage, resulting in better cold water performance.
• Unique over-balanced diaphragm design - as the diver descends, the over-balancing feature allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to rise faster than the ambient temperature. This results in superior performance at depth.
