MTX-R Regulator

The MTX-R is based on the MTX regulator, originally developed in accordance with the United States Navy Experimental Dive Unit extreme cold water test. Thanks to further design innovations, the MTX-R delivers reliable performance in near-freezing water at depths exceeding 60 metres — a capability achieved by very few consumer regulators.

An innovative first-stage design helps prevent ice build-up around the diaphragm, making the MTX-R exceptionally reliable, rugged, and expedition-ready, even in the harshest environments.

First Stage

• Available in Yoke or DIN configuration

• Suitable for cold water use (below 10°C / 50°F)

• Unique over-balanced diaphragm design: as depth increases, medium pressure rises faster than ambient pressure, ensuring superior performance at depth

• Heat-exchanging ribs for enhanced cold-water performance

• Nitrox/Oxygen compatible: up to 40% O₂ outside the EU; within the EU, >21% O₂ requires an M26 connection

Second Stage

• High-performance, pneumatically balanced, lever-operated poppet valve

• Large, diver-friendly self-flushing purge button

• Front cover with over-moulded elastomer and chrome-plated brass insert for durability

• Protective elastomer bumpers on sides and top

• Reversible configuration for left- or right-hand hose routing

• Patented heat exchanger surrounding the valve mechanism to reduce freezing

• Comfo-bite™ mouthpiece

• Double swivel hose connection

• Flexible braided nylon hose for improved cold-water performance
