SeaLife introduces the new compact and lightweight underwater housing for smartphones. The new SeaLife SportDiver housing allows divers, snorkelers and swimmers to take photos and videos with their iPhone at depths of up to 40 meters.

Durable

The robust housing is made of polycarbonate, stainless steel, aluminum and optical quality glass. And although the SportDiver case is "Heavy Duty", it is not heavy, weighing only 641 grams. It is lightweight for travel and is almost neutrally buoyant in water, depending on which model of iPhone is used.

iPhone as a creative photo camera

The SportDiver is easy to hold and easy to use. It has a large shutter button and accessible controls on the back for easy operation, even with diving gloves on. Creative snorkelers and divers can use the optional advanced settings of the camera app to take their photos or videos. Such as: zoom, exposure (EV), auto/manual focus, white balance, color tint, lens selection, RAW + JPEG mode, live photo and background blur (on available iPhone models).

No risk, double safety

Safety for your phone above all! The SportDiver has a DUAL LEAK ALARM, including an internal moisture alarm and a vacuum pressure alarm, which warns you with an on-screen display, an audio and an LED signal in the unlikely event that the housing does show some form of leakage and there is moisture is detected in the housing or if there is a loss of pressure in the housing. You can vacuum the housing under negative pressure with the included vacuum pump.

The built-in pressure gauge in the housing provides a display on the iPhone's screen to ensure that you bring the housing to the correct negative pressure. Then you have to wait a little while until the vacuum system indicates that no pressure change has taken place and so you know that you can take the set underwater with peace of mind.

The housing is sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock sealing latch, which closes the watertight door easily and securely. To prevent the inside of the housing from fogging up due to humidity, it is recommended to use the anti-condensation capsule “Moisture Muncher” to minimize the humidity and thus prevent internal condensation as much as possible.

Free SportDiver App

The SportDiver case is used in conjunction with the free SeaLife SportDiver camera app   iOS 12 and above.   (Unlike other smartphone housing apps, there are no annoying in-app purchases or ads). You can easily switch between photo and video mode. The SportDiver app uses the iPhone camera technology that comes with every iPhone® model.

Photos and videos are immediately available

The app playback mode shows full-size photos and videos with a vertical thumbnail strip for easy scrolling through the images. Videos play automatically when selected. All files are also saved to the iPhone camera roll. The SportDiver case automatically connects to your iPhone and the SportDiver app via Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) 5 wireless technology. No cables or buttons connect to the phone. The SportDiver has extremely low power consumption for both the phone and the housing, which is powered by two AAA batteries, which last more than 50 hours of continuous use.

Includes color correction filter

For better image results in tropical blue water, the SportDiver comes with an interchangeable color correction filter that restores natural underwater colors. The filter can be easily attached or removed underwater and is equipped with a safety cord to prevent loss.

Optional external lighting

The SportDiver housing has three 1/4-20 tripod mounts that can be mounted to any light or baseplate with standard tripod threads, such as SeaLife's own line of Sea Dragon underwater photo/video lights. SeaLife also offers the combination SportDiver with Sea Dragon underwater lighting, the SL401 "SportDiver Pro 2500 Set".

Universal fit

For the safety and protection of the phone, the SportDiver is equipped with a spring system and rubber grip tabs that hold the iPhone® firmly in place and provide protection against shocks. This also makes it possible to easily change iPhone models in the housing.
